While researching online I came across this scrapbook scanned and uploaded onto Flickr by “Pagan555″. It is a sensational record of the stars of Sadler’s Wells, a young Margot Fonteyn and Robert Helpmann and features what must be signed press photographs from all the main productions at Sadler’s Wells in the late 30s and early 40s. Here is a clip of Fonteyn performing with Helpmann- little footage survives.

Thank you SO MUCH Susan! I couldn’t believe it when I stumbled on these either!!. Reminds me how fab autograph books can be X
I have found an original print of Robert Helpmann and Margot Fonteyn dated Nov 7, 1949. On the back it says Saddler’s Well, Ballet in handwriting and Mon Pripage. I found it in a box of unassociated prints, except for another with Christine Hennessy doing her knitting in the wings.
